Been a while......

Things have been kinda busy for me lately......

First off...thanks to Reighvin over @XMG for reminding me that I never did say how my NCAA pool went.....It went great I guess, except I didnt win!!! Who-da thought that with Duke & Arizona that I wouldnt even make the final four?!?! Oh well....guess I will have to wait until I start a Super Bowl pool to see if I can get lucky. ((Damn thats a long time to wait....)


What else......oh yeah....I never did finish my last post......long story short...got good seats, right in front of the visitors bullpen, and was literally 5 feet from Shilling. We tried to talk to him, but he was obviously in game mode especially with the Red Sux pitching coach with him that day its understandable. He was there to do a job, and was in game mode. Besides, its not like he played in the Bronx and no big loss to me. I just thought it was cool and a once in a lifetime oppty to see him (being a future hall of famer, a co-MVP of the World Series) in Indpls, let alone I was so close I could have spit on him!!! (but refrained...)

Beside, being the diehard Yankees fan that I am, if I did talk to him I would problably tell him that I wished him bad luck everytime he got up against my boys!!! As we were watching him lose that game in Indy, I was saying (much to the chagrin of all the Red Sux bandwagon riders that were surrounding where we were sitting that day...) that if he plays like that against the Yanks -they are going to smoke him!((funny thing here, is less than a week later, he played against them and got is ass kicked!! =0) ))

So whats new???? Just working. My F/T job, and I am umpiring a couple of nights a week. I work for two different association. I work a couple of days a week for NSA (National Softball Assoc) umpiring at a sportspark. This is Men, women or Co-ed Class C-E Softball, better known as the "Beer Leagues"(because it usually involves drunk assholes!) To make this slighly worse, it is on the southside of Indpls where one often encounters Rednecks (or as I like to call them "billy's" which is short for "Hillbilly's) so you can imagine what I deal with there.......(I will get into this in another post @ a later date....)

So what else? Leaving tomorrow for three days to go to KC. I know, most people I have shared this with are like, "your leaving for the holiday weekend on Monday?" This is b/c my wife has a planned business trip there to visit a vendor of her's. We figured since her company is paying for the room, and our gas (@ .$40 a mile) why not take advantage of this? The biggest part of the trip that I am looking forward to is the Yankees are playing the Royals on Tues, and we got tickets!!! (Whoo Hoo!!!) The tix are not too far from the visitor dugout and I am planning to try to get a couple of my heroes to sign a ball or two (praying that I can). I figure that if I show them my tattoo on my arm (the Yanks bat & the Hat in a baseball logo) they will see that I am not a bandwagon rider , but a "lifer" of a Yankees fan -THEY HAVE TO!!!

I say this all saddened tonight, as the Yanks are just getting ready to end tonights Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN game in which the got beat buy the Red Sux again! Figures David Wells who has sucked ass in his last two starts, finally plays good and its against the Yanks. Have two hand it to him though....After giving up homers to Jeter & Shef in the 1st tonight, he shut em down in typical Wells fashion...curves and a variety of off speed pitches....

Lets just hope Kevin Brown has a good game on Tuesday in KC. I will try to update after I get back......
